Violinist Sara Sofia Trigo Martins began her musical studies at the Escola Profissional de Arte de Mirandela at the age of 12, under the guidance of professor Pedro Pinol and later professor Maria Jo\u00e3o Matos. She completed her course with the School Merit Award, which gave her the opportunity to perform as a soloist with the Orquestra Sinf\u00f3nica Esproarte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She has attended masterclasses with teachers such as Zofia Kuberska-Woycicka, Jela Spitkov, Susanne Stanzeleit, Patrick Bismuth, Jos\u00e9 Francisco Del Castillo, Monica Waisman, among others. She has also worked under the direction of conductors including Peter Stark, Pedro Neves, Joana Carneiro, Nuno Coelho, Peter Askim, Ernst Schelle, Charles Roussin, Tobias Gossman, and Lorenzo Viotti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She holds a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Music, Instrumental Studies (Violin), from the Escola Superior de Artes Aplicadas in Castelo Branco, and a Master\u2019s degree in Music Education (Violin and Chamber Music) from the same institution, graduating with distinction in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2024, she began teaching violin at the Escola Profissional de Arte de Mirandela (Esproarte) and at the Escola de M\u00fasica Guilhermina Suggia in Porto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She is a member of the chamber music group Quartz Quintet, winner of 1st Prize in Chamber Music (Hugher Level) at the Folefest Festival in 2019 and 2nd Prize in Chamber Music (Higher Level) at the Antena 2 Young Musicians Prize in 2021.
