Taking its name from the goddess of youth in Roman mythology, the Juventus Ensemble (JuvE) is a musical project guided by the highest quality standards and aims to become a catalyst for opportunities for young Portuguese and foreign musicians of recognized talent. Founded in 2022, JuvE had its debut concert in Bragança, at the Church of São Francisco, as part of the 2nd Bragança ClassicFest Festival, including works by Eurico Carrapatoso and Antonín Dvořák. A musical grouping of variable geometry, JuvE promotes concerts and residencies, with the collaboration of established artists, with the aim of welcoming and enhancing the best emerging talents on the national music scene, covering a repertoire from different eras and musical styles. In February 2023, the Juventus Ensemble presented the world premiere of the sextet "Dreaming and Thinking" by the American composer Bruce Adolphe, as part of the Musical-Mind Cycle, at the Mosteiro de São Bento da Vitória in Porto. Also in 2023, JuvE made its debut at the Capuchos Music Festival and performed two concerts at the Prémery Music Festival in France. The Juventus Ensemble is directed by Filipe Pinto-Ribeiro and has the support of the Direção-Geral das Artes of the Ministério da Cultura.
